I have been a PRO member since 2013 and have now decided to end my active membership from March 2022 as i am increasingly dissatisfied with the new changes:
the possibility to send images to the official curators has shrunk from 80 possible images to 10-15 per month,
the pre-analysis of the submitted images by the member curation or the expert curation is 'funny' but in principle the pre-analysis doesn't matter if an image gets the status Published or Awarded,
I feel very restricted in my artistic work, because I can no longer show all my work in my portfolio as I would like to, but as the curators want to allow me to,
recently my exhibition "pencil maniac" was presented in the magazine - none of the Awarded pictures there would get the status Publish today,
and when you start to design your works in a way that probably pleases the curators, that's the beginning of the end of artistic inspiration and you join the army of producers of uniform mush,
So I see the possibility to develop myself here severely limited and so I will look for a gallery that is more open to all my alternative image creations.
I wish all having fun with their hobby
Until then

Sad to see you go, Udo.
I always enjoyed your very graphical photo art. And of course I envied your pencil creations, which is the highest level of appreciation, as you know :-)
Good luck and stay healthy,
Mike
Udo,
I feel sorry that you're leaving 1X. Many of your photographs are unique and brilliant. Many have humour too - and that's not easy to do with an image. I'm not sure if your strong point is creativity or technical skill as you have an abundance of both. Here's wishing you good fortune for whatever you decide to do next. I think I understand your feelings of frustration at the changes made for the Gamma version of the site. Many of us feel the same way. It used to work so well.

Nooo ,I am sorry, what a pity. I don't know you but I've always seen your photos showing original and brilliant ideas,I called them the little pencils(as a nickname in one word).C'est la vie ,but you don't understand why it has to be this way.Evidently the days here on the forum are over sooner or later.
Best regards
Very sad news, Udo.
I hope you will keep your images here for us to view.
All the best,
Jacob
Dear Udo,
I think this is a great loss for 1x, but inevitable.
Wishing you all the best and thank you for having shared your wonderful work with us!
Kind regards,
Gerda
Dear Udo, frustration is common to many 1x users.
Any such decision is a sadness.
I hope there are some changes because the moods grow.
I'm no one to get you back in the decision, but if there's a little light, let's not put it out.
All the best for you .

Dear Udo, I'm gonna miss you so much here on 1x.
I'm so glad I have presented your exhibition 'pencil maniac' in the magazine.
It was a huge success ... Members appreciate and love your work.
In spite of not being able to make you change your mind, I respect your decision.
Sad greetings,
Yvette
Dear Udo, I am sorry too, to hear that, fear that many more will follow.
Why do you think these pictures will not be published? Have you made this experience lately?
best regards

Dear Ulrike,
yes, i made this experience in the past and today too, but I'm no longer willing to put up with this. I know how to create images that are accepted by the curators (i got 263 images published here), but I want to realize my own ideas. In my opinion, the head curators should award pictures according to their taste but I would like to exhibit and also offer for sale my pictures that I like and that make me without any influence from the curators. As long as this is not guaranteed, there will only continue to be uniform mush here, and I don't want to be a part of this.
Best regards
Udo
