The title says it all—being able to open links in a new tab is the feature that is a standard all over the web and that I miss the most on 1X.
Is there any reason why it's being disable on 1X?
Kind regards,
Christopher.

It works for me for the latest Firefox and Windows 7.

You're right, please allow me to elaborate. If I right-click on a link, then I can see the option "Open Link in New Tab" as expected. But I find this method to be inconvenient so I've always been using instead the shortcut "Command + click" which doesn't work here for some reasons.
For info, I'm using Chrome under Mac OS X.

Right-click "Open in new tab" does not work for forum topics. It works for all (?) other links, but not for forum topics.
Ctrl + left click does open link in a background tab, but only (?) in old Opera.
(I use Opera, but checked Firefox too)

Instead using "CTRL + Left Mouse Button", you can use just Middle Click as well. But it's right, all this stuff isn't working in the Forum Topic List on 1x.com.

Unfortunately I don't have any middle click as I'm using the trackpad of a MacBook.
